2008 LUNCHEON

Marcia Wallace
Marcia Wallace has been paid for doing what she loves to do since 1967. Prior to her Emmy award winning role as Bart’s teacher on “The Simpsons,” Marcia was best known as Carol Kester on “The Bob Newhart Show” and reprised that role when she guest starred as Murphy Brown’s 66th secretary, for which she received an Emmy nomination. She was the sassy White House maid on “That’s My Bush” which recently came out on DVDl and has appeared several times on “Seventh Heaven”. She has guest starred on dozens of television shows and appeared on stages all over the country. As a twenty year survivor, Marcia has become a high profile advocate for breast cancer awareness. She travels around the country to share her hilarious and moving experience, to promote early detection and to encourage women to view themselves as fighters rather than victims. Marcia’s first book, a memoir is entitled “Don’t Look Back, We’re Not Going That Way.”

The 7th Annual NOMF Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.
